Author Guidelines

Papers submitted for peer reviewed tracks must be full papers. The submission process includes space for an abstract which will be used to list to the public upon acceptance. Submitting authors must also include coauthors and contact information.

Abstracts for panel and special sessions are acceptable. These must alswo be submitted as a file as if it were a paper.

Do not include a title page in the submission file. The information on authors is part of the submission process that you fill in prior to uploading your paper.

All papers submitted for peer reviewed tracks must be made blind for review and submitted in Word 2003 format. If submitting authors prepare the papers in Word 2007, the paper needs to be saved in Word 2003 format as not all Track Directors and Reviewers may have Word 2007.

The text uses single spaced 12-point Times Roman font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

There is no length limit.

All URL addresses in the text (e.g., http://pkp.sfu.ca ) are activated and ready to click.

References to submitting author(s) must be made as follows:

Removing Paper properties

In Word 2003, the properties items can be removed by clicking Save As on the File menu. Click on the Tools item at the top of the Save As page. Click on the Security option. When the Security page opens check the item that reads Remove personal information from file properties on save.

If you only have Word 2007, the properties can be removed by clicking on the Office button and going to Prepare and then Inspect Document. Next click on Inspect and then on Remove All next to the document properties item. Then finally Save the document in Word 2003 format before submitting.
