Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the implementation of a service learning component within a Principles of Marketing course. Adding a service learning component to a principles course need not be overwhelming to the instructor or the students. The service learning project implemented serves and benefits the College community, therefore, students are not obligated to leave the campus to engage in this project. While Marketing students are the providers of the ‘service’, they are also the stakeholders in the project’s outcome. A student survey indicates that overall, students had a positive opinion about the service learning component.
